Posted on July 27, 2009

Armtec Infrastructure Income Fund’s Armtec division has been awarded a $1.3-million contract to supply drainage and water management products as part of the construction of the first phase of the 1550-megawatt La Romaine hydroelectric complex that will be situated on Rivière Romaine north of Havre-Saint-Pierre, in the Côte-Nord region of Quebec.

Under the terms of the contract with Hydro-Québec supplier Fernand Gilbert Limited, Armtec will supply products to be used in the construction of a 48-kilometre stretch of a permanent 150-kilometre road accessing the hydroelectric construction project. Armtec’s products will be used to help manage the flow of water in an environmentally-sensitive way.
