As awareness of the importance of water to our future grows, so do the challenges of managing this essential resource. However, with challenges can come opportunities for both innovation and action. What is the state of knowledge in water management and what are the key Canadian and global opportunities?

Hosted by the Canadian Water Network, Connecting Water Resources 2011 will provide participants with critical insight into leading water research and practice and will highlight the national and international researchers and practitioners who are discovering solutions and applying them for best water management.

Who should attend?

This important three-day conference will bring together exceptional water researchers and practitioners as they highlight their discoveries, showcase solutions and explore opportunities for best water management in Canada and abroad.

Connecting Water Resources 2011 is essential for innovators, first adopters and leaders from a variety of sectors in water research and practice — academia, government, industry and non-governmental organizations.

Program

  • February 28 — Opening reception (late afternoon), evening keynote address
  • March 1, 2 — Two full days of plenary and concurrent sessions
  • March 3 — Half-day plenary and concurrent sessions, lunch and closing keynote

Attendance

More than 400 water policy-makers; academic, government and industry researchers; water managers; industry and consulting reps; NGOs; economists; and industry analysts
