Montreal, QC Water shortages are a social, economic, and national security threat to governments and businesses. This forum will share the experiences of SNC-Lavalin, one of the world’s leading engineering and construction firms, in the development of water resources in water-scarce countries. Project case studies will be presented on securing future water resources and capacity building in Algeria (water treatment), South America (Guarani Aquifer transboundary watershed) and Ghana (water security). Each case study will look at innovative approaches for the development of water resources; identify risks to water supply security; and discuss the application of targeted strategies to mitigate these risks. 2:15-3:00 pm, Room 14 |
