September 21, 2010: IWA Industry Forum: Water Technology Cooperation and Capacity Building

Posted on August 27, 2010

Montreal, QC
Website: Click here.

Water scarcity and contamination limit economic development.  Although this has led to implementation of water reduction measures and tighter regulations for protection of water resources in many countries, it is expected that water demand – and thus competition between sectors – will continue to increase. Uncertainties associated with climate change may further jeopardize water supplies for people and production of goods and services, representing a potential social, economic, and national security threat to governments and business decision-makers. This forum provides an opportunity to share information and experience on approaches to align water technology partners and develop capacity to manage resources.

12-12:45 pm, Room 14

Water Canada presents this industry forum in partnership with the Institute for Water, Environment and Health, United Nations University (UNU-INWEH).
