Montreal consulting firm GENIVAR Inc. has acquired Ontario-based Dakins Engineering Group Ltd., an instrumentation control and automation systems consulting engineering firm specialized in water and wastewater management. The acquisition adds 15 people to GENIVAR’s workforce.
Founded in 2001, Dakins is a systems integrator of control equipment and instrumentation to the water and wastewater industry. The company also offers complete automation and integration services using both new and existing SCADA systems.
“Looking to our long-term goal, expertise within the Dakins group will allow us to better service the municipal infrastructure market segment, as well as leverage this expertise into the industrial and energy market segment,” said Brian Barber, Senior Vice President, Ontario of GENIVAR.
