The Water Research and Innovation Network (WRAIN) and Good Harbour Labs (GHL) announced on February 27 a collaboration wherein GHL will promote WRAIN services to companies in Ontario’s water sector. GHL is comprised of a team of scientists and engineers operating out of a hydraulic and analytical lab in Mississauga, Ontario.

Formerly the dedicated research and development lab of a water treatment technology manufacturer, the newly independent GHL team offers third-party performance testing and validation for innovative technologies.

“This collaboration and partnership is proving to be instrumental for WRAIN,” said WRAIN’s economic development officer, Numair Uppal. “WRAIN, Good Harbour Labs, and Monteco are now working collaboratively to identify and assist small- and medium-sized companies with their commercialization objectives and help foster innovation in Ontario.”

In partnering with GHL, WRAIN is looking to accelerate market adoption of new water and wastewater treatment technologies by facilitating access to real time, real operational municipal facilities for pilot and demonstration in Kawartha Lakes.
