The Government of New Brunswick has invited the public, stakeholders, and First Nations to provide input and to participate in public meetings to gather perspectives towards the development of a new provincial water strategy for ground and surface water.

The objective of the public engagement strategy is to provide an overview of New Brunswick’s water resources and some of the programs and initiatives currently in place.

A discussion paper entitled, “Working Together to Build a Water Strategy for New Brunswick,” and a questionnaire have been provided, to gain public feedback on several questions:

  • When you think about water in general, what comes to mind as being most important?
  • What are your biggest concerns related to water in New Brunswick?
  • What do you feel should be the water-related priority areas for government?

Open houses will be held in communities across the province from March 14-23, 2016.
