Peterborough Water Startup On NASDQ

A Peterborough cleantech startup, born of the Peterborough Regional Angel Network, has gone public on NASDAQ.

Rainmaker Worldwide Inc. recently announced that Rainmaker Worldwide Inc. is now a public company, listed on the NASDQ Over the Counter, trading under the symbol RAKR.

Rainmaker utilizes two types of energy-­efficient fresh water-­producing technologies to address access to water in deprived regions:

1. Air-to-Water, which harvests fresh water from the air, producing 5,000 to 20,000 litres of drinking water per day
2. Water-to-Water, which transforms seawater or polluted water into drinking water producing 37,500 to 150,000 litres of drinking water per day

Both can be wind and solar powered, which leaves no carbon traces. Options are also available for hybrid, grid or diesel-powered models.

Rainmaker’s Air-to-Water technology is suitable for humanitarian applications in traditional areas of water scarcity, island and rural communities with limited freshwater supplies, temporary humanitarian applications in disaster or war zones, as well as industrial and commercial applications.

Suitable markets for Rainmaker Water-to-Water technology include communities with inadequate or no access to a freshwater source or reliable energy source, but close to a significant supply of seawater or polluted water and for corporations looking for energy‐efficient technology to clean and potentially reuse waste water.
