AGAT Laboratories has appointed Scott Preston to the position of vice president.

Preston holds Environmental Management and Technical Diplomas as well as other related technical and professional development training from a variety of organizations. Since joining AGAT in 2013, Preston has been leading the significant growth of AGAT Laboratories operations throughout Canada, including the expansion of laboratory facilities in Dartmouth, the development of a new laboratory in St. John’s, Newfoundland and overall expansion of AGAT’s services throughout Atlantic Canada.

Prior to joining AGAT, Preston worked for AMEC (now Wood Plc), having been the Site Assessment Lead and Project Manager on a Prime Consultant contract for a multi-year, multi-million dollar remediation project for the Canadian Forces. During his later years with AMEC, he was the business operations manager for AMEC’s Nova Scotia and Goose Bay, Labrador offices. His experience extends to a variety of geographies, including the Canadian high arctic and overseas subtropical locations. Preston is completing his fifth year on the Board of Directors for the Environmental Services Association of the Maritimes (ESAM), where he has fulfilled the roles of treasurer and president.

In the role as vice president, Preston will focus his efforts on the continued expansion and growth of AGAT services throughout Eastern Canada while remaining based out of our Atlantic offices in Dartmouth Nova Scotia.

Based in Calgary, AGAT Laboratories is a specialized science and laboratory service provider with 12 scientific divisions that offer full-service solutions to multiple industry types within the environmental, energy, mining, industrial, transportation, agri-food and life sciences sectors.
