Seprotech Systems Inc., a provider and operator of pre-engineered water and wastewater treatment plants, has closed the purchase of Envirosearch Operations Incorporated, a private company located in Milton, Ontario. Envirosearch is an operator of water and wastewater treatment plants in Ontario. Groups Challenge Nestlé's Bottled Water "Greenwashing"

As Toronto City Council gathered yesterday to consider passing a city-wide ban on bottled water, a new coalition challenged advertising claims made by Nestlé Waters that "bottled water is the most environmentally responsible consumer product in the world." The group, which includes Friends of the Earth Canada, the Polaris Institute, the Council of Canadians, Wellington Water Watchers, and Ecojustice, has filed a complaint under Canadian Code of Advertising Standards against Nestlé Waters North America. A new study about beverage consumption by children and adults reveals that at all ages, water is the beverage consumed by the highest percentage of people and in the greatest quantities. A Statistics Canada report released last week that after water, the beverage choices Canadians make are tied closely to their age. As they get older, boys and girls drink less milk and fruit juice, and more soft drinks and fruit-flavoured drinks containing less than 100% juice.
